Google Posts has been a feature for the better part of a year now. It allows business owners to add information ranging from sales to upcoming events to their Google business listing.
Even though it is still in its infancy, its integration is fairly simple and allows your business to stand out from the competition. Similar to Facebook & Twitter, Google Posts lets you attach an images in order to add some pop to your post. One thing to consider is the size of the image, I have found success in 750 X 750 pixels as opposed to Googles suggestion of 300 X 225 pixels.
Keep in mind, potential clients will only see this when they search your business name and your listing appears. Or when they search your vertical and come across your listing. That said, there is no reason to not make this a part of your daily social media routine as it is fairly easy to use and can be that little extra to get consumers to notice you.
Unfortunately, as of this date, if you are in the lodging or accommodations industry you are unfortunately not able to use this function. But that doesn’t mean you should give up on making sure your business listing is up-to-date and not using the other features offered.
